Congratulations to all winners of the 2014 New Waterlily Competition! Entries were grown at Denver Botanic Gardens in Denver, Colorado under the direction of senior horticulturist, Tamara Kilbane. A panel of 16 esteemed judges from various backgrounds and countries judged the contest between October 3rd and 13th.
This year's judges included James Allison of Aquapic Solutions, Rich Sacher of American Aquatic Gardens, Tom Gleeson, Derek Lyle of Missouri Botanic Gardens, Carlos Magdelena of Kew Gardens, Tim Jennings of Longwood Gardens, Kelly Billing of Maryland Aquatic Nurseries, Deb Spencer of Water's Edge, Dave Brigante of Hughes Water Gardens, John Loggins of Lonestar Aquatic Nursery, Danny Benjamin of Hazorea Aquatics, John Sou of Water Garden Paradise, Iain McGregor of Water Garden Life, Paula Biles, Miguel Castillo of Jardin Botanico de la UCV, and Farley See of Moore Water Gardens.
In addition, on-site voting was open to visitors at Denver Botanic Gardens for the annual People's Choice Awards, and 700 votes were cast. Results of the public voting can be viewed here.
