This is a mix of 15-18 cm Gin-Rin Gosanke Japanese koi from Takahashi Koi Farm. Although the video and picture show a few other varieties in the box, this mix only includes Gin-Rin Showa, Sanke and Kohaku. As you can see, these Tosai (1 year old) show excellent potential with their balanced patterns, bright red (hi) colour and clean white (shiro) and the sumi (black) is already showing strong development.
Takahashi koi farm was established in 1958, in the Uonuma region by Hanjyuro Takahashi. The farm is now mainly operated by his son Takehisa. They breed several varieties of koi such as Sanke, Kohaku, Asagi, Hikarimono and more but are most well known for their Showa. Their koi are well regarded in Japan and they win many awards at koi shows.
