However, the best feature of this air pump is it its ability to continuously to operate even when there is a power failure. If the power goes out, or someone accidentally unplugs the pump, the internal DC battery automatically takes over and provides up to 8 hours of non-stop aeration. When the power comes back on, the pump switches back to AC power and recharges the battery all while operating at full capacity.
