Is it a Scottish battlefield from the Braveheart era? Is it a French fair with blue barrels full of wine? No; it is the Euregio Koi Show in Oldenzaal (central east of Holland) that really had a burst this year! It was already known that a new location had been found, and in Rijswijk (All European Shinkokai Koi Show) we heard that dealers from the southern part of the Netherlands and Flemish dealers planned to come as well and take part in the show contest of the central area of the Netherlands. Who came out on top when the prizes were awarded?
Oldenzaal. The visitors and traders may be impressed by the renewed structure of the Dutch Koi Club (KCN) this year, the Danish were not! Like last year it is a Sanke that came out as a victor, despite the many contestants who were participating in the show. The Scandinavian hobbyists back-to-back gained the title of Grand Champion with a Sanke displaying an excellent body shape. It is remarkable that like the Interkoi and Shinkokai before, last years’ winner successfully prolongated its title in 2013.
