This is a very nice box of Kohaku Japanese koi from the breeder Marudo. These 12-15 cm Tosai (1 year old koi) Kohaku have well balanced balanced patterns, show deep Hi (red) while the Shiro (white) is a bright white.
Marudo Koi Farm is now run by Hisashi Hirasawa in the Nagaoka region is one of the top breeders. Established more than 40 years ago, they have become well known within Japan and around the world. Their koi win many shows in Japan and Europe. The varieties of koi they are most well know for are Showa, Sanke, Kohaku, Kujaku and Yamabuki.
