This is a very nice box of 12-15 cm Kohaku Japanese koi from the breeder Hasegawa. Hasegawa concentrates mainly on kohaku and it shows in the quality of koi he produces. These kohaku show nice hi (red) while the white is a bright ‘snow’ white. .
Hasegawa Koi Farm is owned by Mitsuo Hasegawa in the Ojiya region. Although it is a smaller farm compared to many other in the region, Hasegawa even raises many of their koi in the basement of his house. But don’t let their size fool you, they produce excellent quality koi. Mr Hasegawa decided to specialize in breeding mainly Kohaku, and is well known within Japan and Asia for his high quality koi. Hasegawa also produces limited numbers of beautiful Showa.
