This is a high quality, ‘Select Mix’ of 13-15 cm Japanese koi from the breeder Kawakami. ‘Select Mix’ koi are hand picked by the breeder so you know they are excellent quality. There is a nice combination of metallic, ginrin, standard and doitsu koi, so there is bound to be something for everyone in this box. This mix includes some common and uncommon varieties such as Goshiki, Ginrin Goshiki, Beni-Kumonryu, Kujaku, Asagi, Shusui, Kohaku, Ginrin Kohaku, Doitsu Kohaku, Beni-Kikokuryu, Ginrin Matsukawa and a few other varieties.
Kawakami Koi Farm – is an old koi farm, originally founded estblished in 1926 by Jirosuke Kawakami. It is still in the same family and has continued for 4 generations. They breed many different varieties of koi such as Gosanke, Doitsu Showa, Doitsu Hariwake, Doitsu Yamato, Doitsu Kigoi, Kujaku, Ginrin Kohaku, Ginrin Showa, Goshiki, Aigoromo, Tancho, Asagi, Shusui, Shiroutsuri, Yamabuki, Chagoi, Kumonryu, and Beni Kumonryu.
