This is a very interesting and rare box of 13-18 cm Goshiki-Kujaku Japanese koi from the breeder Yamaju. These Tosai (1 year old) koi are produced by crossing a Goshiki with a Kujaku. Originally developed by Aoki Koi Farm, these koi have the metallic silver/grey of a Kujaku combined with the orange pattern that is free of reticulation like a Goshiki. The picture and video aren’t very clear, but it’s the best we have for now.
Yamaju Koi Farm – is operated by Hoshino Shigeyuki in the Yamakoshi region. Established more than 40 years ago, they have concentrate on breeding a few high quality varieties. They produce Ochiba, Doitsu Ochiba, Shusui, and Asagi.
