These are excellent quality 15-18 cm Showa Japanese koi from Sekiguchi Koi Farm. Many of these Tosai (1 year old koi) are already showing deep Sumi (black), and bright Hi (red). Sekiguchi is one of the most sought after Showa breeders, so you’ll be sure to find something you’ll like in this batch.

Sekiguchi Koi Farm was founded in 1958 by Kosuke Sekiguchi in the Minami. Initially, they bred Kohaku, Sanke, and Asagi. His son Kazuo, work part-time at the farm, but eventually took more interest after he managed to stabilize a new variety called the ‘Pearl Ginrin’. They began to focus on producing Showa, and a few Pearl Ginrin Varieties. Now, the farm is run by Masayuki Sekiguchi, the third generation and is renowned for their high quality Showa.
