This morning at the Dainichi Koi farm; their 6th annual auction was held. This auction has become famous in a short period of time because of the top notch Nishikigoi brought to the highest bidder and the prices that come along with it. Last year the auction got some attention as well for it was responsible for the most expensive nisai ever; this year it’s the Tosai’s turn. The most expensive Tosai ever is a ‘Blue’ Showa!
This showa measures about 40cm and changed ownership for an ammount of 7 million Yen, that’s almost 70.000 US Dollars! The Koi was bought by Ryuki Narita of Narita Koi Farms and Koikichi Fish Farm (from Thailand) and is still for sale. Do you have a spare gallon for it?!
