The MetaTrader4 platform was the first major trading platform developed by MetaQuotes Software in the early 2000s and was designed for retail traders. It was free for the smaller retail traders and became very popular in the trading community. Nowadays, almost every broker offers MT4 to their clients. One of the main reasons why MT4 platform became so popular was its ease of use and excellent features. But it didn't look like it does now; It started as a simple charting package and was improved over the years, with new features being added all the time. Now the MT4 platform offers a wide range of features.
One of the reasons why the MT4 platform became so popular was its very user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to use. It has the right stuff in the right places; you have the charting area right in the middle, which takes up most of the platform. At the top of the platform is the indicator area, which feels very comfortable since that's where you'll be working the most. At the top left is the market monitoring box, which starts with currency pairs, followed by stocks, precious metals, etc. Below that is the navigation box with all your accounts and specialist advisors. At the bottom you will find the terminal with more than ten sections, such as:
- Trading: where the open and pending trades are displayed,
- Exposure,
- Account history,
- Messages,
- Alerts,
- mailbox,
- market,
- Forex signals,
- code base,
- Experts and
- diary
You can also move the different sections of the platform, but why do that when everything is arranged in perfect order? Some may argue that mt4 in https://exnessgroup.org/mt4/ looks very friendly because we are used to it... and while this is true to a certain extent, I find it very easy to use.

MT4 allows you to trade multiple accounts from one platform. It may not sound like a big deal to some, but this is very important to many traders. I have two different live accounts with the same broker that I use for different purposes. One is a normal account used for daily trading and the other is a mini account that I use to try out new strategies, different indicators and settings. I could try new strategies on a demo account, but demo trading doesn't come close to live trading. So unless you are playing around to kill time, you need to try them out on a live account. However, this would be so impractical without the option to trade multiple accounts on one platform. You would have to close the platform and restart it to log in with the other account. By this time, and the process can take up to a few minutes, the trading option may have already ended.
